FAQ Tenant Screening Products and Invitation
Q: What screening products do you provide?
A: Listing 2 Leasing enables Landlords to request credit, criminal background, and eviction reports on prospective tenants.
Q: What credit screening product is used?
A: One of the big three.
Q: What is an electronic application?
A: Landlords or agents can send an electronic version of a tenant application to prospective tenants and co-signers. When the application has been completed the person who's deal it is will be notified that it's been completed.
Q: What other features are included with an electronic application?
A: Landlords or agents may request pay stubs, ID, electronic current landlord verification, electronic Employment verification, or other items which will be delivered to their portal.
Q: How do I send out tenant screening products (what is an application link)?
A: Users (i.e. Brokers and Landlords) must first create a New Deal or, in their dashboards, navigate to a previously-created Deal. Using the "Send Applications and Screening Products" tab, the user can input the applicant's name and email address and click Send. Listing 2 Leasing then sends an email to the applicant that contains a link bringing the applicant to the Listing 2 Leasing platform where he/she completes the applications and orders the tenant screening products required by that Deal.
Q: What is a General Application link?
A: This is a deal specific link that can be posted anywhere and potential applicants and co-signers can apply through. Users can turn on and off this link at any time.
Q: Can I request additional information from tenants?
A: Yes. New Deals may be created wherein additional documents (e.g., proof of income) may be requested, but tenant applicants are given the ability to upload and attach such extra materials into their applications.

Q: Is this site secure?
A: Listing 2 Leasing incorporates a 256-bit SSL, is SOC2, SOC3, SSAE 16, and PCI-compliant, and is subject to periodic penetration and vulnerability tests. Read more about our security features by visiting http://www.listing2leasing.com/security.php.
FAQ Tenants
Q: How does the application affect my credit?
A: The tenant screening products which include credit history involve "soft" inquiries and not "hard" inquiries (e.g., you are not using Listing 2 Leasing to apply for a loan or mortgage, but as a form of background check). Soft inquiries do not affect your credit score.
Q: Is my credit card information safe?
A: Listing 2 Leasing does not store applicant payment card information. All payment card transactions are processed through Stripe outside of Listing 2 Leasing's platform, and subject to Stripe's industry-standard security protocols.
Q: What is the process for my application?
A: Your application begins with either: (i) a Broker or Landlord sending you an email with an invitation link for you to follow and arrive at Listing 2 Leasing's platform; or (ii) you following an Listing 2 Leasing application link that was, for example, included with the property listing. Once on the Listing 2 Leasing platform, you register an account with Listing 2 Leasing, complete the application, and order and authorize the sharing of the requested tenant screening products (if any).
Q: How do I know if my application has been accepted?
A: Where the property Landlord has elected to do so, you will receive an automatic email from Listing 2 Leasing if and when you are selected. Otherwise, your Broker or the property Landlord itself may contact you with details.

Q: Is the platform really free?
A: Yes. For Agents, Brokerages, and Landlords the platform is free, although we require that if you use the platform, you utilize our tenant screening products.
Q: Does my Brokerage need to be registered in order for me to be registered?
A: No, you can registered without your Brokerage being previously registered.
Q: Is it easy to get started?
A: Yes - Listing 2 Leasing registration is similar to most any web service registration and takes a short time to complete.
